Welcome to ASHI Georgia’s Buyers/Sellers page

Buying a house requires one to make a number of critical decisions from finding the right house in the right location for the right price. Once you have located that house it is time to hire a home inspector who can help educate you on the condition of the building and all its components. Members of ASHI Georgia are qualified to provide that service.

Buying a new home? You may be told you "do not need to hire an independent professional, new homes have already been inspected”. In 1996 there were 48,262* new housing starts, in 2004 new housing starts had increased to 74,007*. There were 336,379* new starts from 2000 thru 2004. In the past 10 years housing starts have almost doubled. Municipal building inspectors inspect to minimum building standards, and with all due respect the majority of municipal inspectors, because of time constraints, are not allowed to spend the amount of time needed to perform a thorough evaluation. An experienced fee paid professional can take the time to analyze and evaluate.

ASHI Georgia members are members of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI). Members are committed to conducting inspections in accordance with the ASHI Standards of Practice; committed to abiding by the ASHI Code of Ethics and dedicated to providing superior customer service.

Buyers are not the only people who hire an ASHI Georgia inspector. Sellers often use ASHI Georgia inspectors to educate them and help them discover conditions that should be provided in the Seller’s Property Disclosure Statement.

If you want to make an informed decision based on objective information about the condition a house you are purchasing or a home that you currently own hire a professional ASHI Georgia inspector.
